Here are my projects created using the Swirlydoos' December kit.

This first project is based on this month's sketch (using a pic of my hubby and I).
I distressed the edges of the paper and tucked in some hidden lace here and there. I also lightly misted the background using a stencil. I added some metal brads around the page and added the TH metal word band that came in our kit. I painted the chippy with embossing powder and used lots of embellies.

Here is the sketch provided by our lovely sketch artist Beggahuna.

In this layout (I used a pic of my beautiful mother and handsome brother) I decided to use the lighter shades of white, yellow and green. I did some punching and  ink distressing. I also made the large yellow flower using TH's tattered poinsettia die. I fussy cut the ornaments and added some bling to make them look like they are hanging. The background paper has a stencil painted with starburst sprays and also some gold crackling color by viva. I added some resins and chippies and brads.

This final layout I made (using a pic of my family) with two different shades. I did some hand stitching and of course, my paper distressing. The rub-on's and flowers came in our kit.

You have until midnight, eastern time, on Friday 12/6 to complete the hop. Winners will be announced on the Swirlydoos Blog on Saturday 12/7. In order to qualify to win here is what you need to do:

Nov 18th Project Life Challenge at Stuck On U Sketches

Hi everyone! Today we have another project life challenge at Stuck On U Sketches. Your project must include anything having to do with ~ Glitter~.

Come on over to SOUS and check out the rest of the design teams creations, you have two weeks to submit your project. Below is an example of my project.

Titled: The Best Thing Ever

This page was fun and silly for me, but it was definitely memorable. Yes that's George Strait..but no, it's not him as a real person. I walked into a cowboy boot store and there he was, the man..the king of country (in my opinion)..as a life size cardboard picture.  So..I couldn't resist to strike a pose, as if he was really there (in my dreams). haha
I also bought my first pair of cowgirl boots that day..and I love them! I can't stop wearing them..I feel totally country and they give me this urge to just go country dancing..immediately! But I haven't..maybe sometime soon my hubby can take me bootin scootin booging.

So I hope you enjoyed my PL and have a great week!

Thankful

I am thankful for my husband, during hard times I know that we at least have eachother. These are pictures I took the day after my beloved doggy Cozmo passed away. We just couldn't bare to be at home, so we took a long drive and I was able to catch the sun setting in the horizon. Beautiful scenery and time to just think of the good times. My husband makes me happy, when skies are grey.

Head on over to SOUS to check out the other design teams creations. I'm sorry for this sad post..I just felt like documenting moments in my life helps for me to get through things.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

I used the KOTM from swirlydoos to create this layout. The colors of both the papers and flowers are super gorgeous! I love fall and all the colors that come with.
I distressed the paper, misted with a stencil, and colored my chippies with silks acrylic glaze. I also used distress ink for the edges on some parts of the paper. I just love how this layout came out.

The papers used here are from the past kit at swirlydoos. Bo Bunny..hunny..gorgeous colors of green and pink.

***I apologize for the lighting, it's been raining in Southwest Texas for the past week straight..believe it or not. So my lighting is needless to say, a little less than stellar. ****

Below are detailed photos.

I used different chippies from different manufacturers here. Kaiser, Spellbinders and Blue Fern Studios.
I colored them with Silks Acrylic Glaze.

Hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by!

Here you can see a closeup of the chippy treatment and also the stencil in the top left corner. I used some light modeling paste here. I also took apart this black flower and used it as a bottom layer to the pink prima flower.

I used these pink brads, distressed the edges with chalk ink and did some hand stitching.

Here is another closeup of my flower cluster. I painted some of these flowers with white gesso to accent the edges.

Stuck On U Sketches Challenge

Hello Everyone and boy how these last two weeks have flown by so fast!!!!
It's time for another sketch challenge at Stuck On U Sketches. This challenge will run up until August 15th, so head on over and check out the other designs from our talented bunch.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my interpretation with close-ups:

Cozmo

This is a pic of my fur baby lab mix, Cozmo. He's such a wonderful and loving dog. I figured he deserved a spotlight, LOL.
This layout was created using my Swirlydoos kit of the month. And these papers worked out perfectly with these pics.

These are chippies from Dusty Attic which i painted with Liquitex Glass Beads and Silks Acrylic Glaze in honey amber.

These letters are made by covering them in foil tape and running them through my embossing machine. Then I used some alcohol ink so the grooves and pattern show more.

Here's a pic of one of the flower clusters. I made the larger flower in the bunch, the beige flower.

I did lots of distressing and punching.

Hope you enjoy and have a wonderful week!

Don't forget to head on over to SOUS to see some more wonderful creations.

I used the KOTM from swirlydoos. The papers are from the .75cent Kaisercraft collection. They are gorgeous papers.

I made the flower on the right using a mcgill punch. I also inked the edges with chalk ink. The chippy is from blue fern studios, fancy fob watch which i colored with crackle paint and spritzed with moon shadow mist from lindy's stamp gang.

Here is a closeup of the flowers from petaloo and prima. Also the grungeboard that I painted with liquitex modeling paste.

Here's another pic of the flower cluster.

I hope you have a wonderful week!
